If you haven’t heard their first major album From the Fires, I highly recommend it. I’m waiting for their next one to come out, as they keep saying “soon.” Well at least we’ve got this.

I was listening to them the other day. Aside from the radio single, they really sound like old Led Zepplin.

These kids ARE Led Zeppelin re-incarnate. It is simply amazing how well they pull off that sound.

I saw their performance from the tonight show last night, while they are good, they try way too hard to be Led Zeppelin. Particularly the lead singer, who simply does not have the voice to try and emulate Plant (he’s more Janis Joplin than Robert Plant) . He does have the wardrobe and mannerisms down though. Again, I think they’re good, they just need to find their own footing and balance of what they are and what inspired them.

Yeah I agree they need to find their own identity - I think out of context, they would just be “very good” but I’m hoping their talent will carry them forward and past those who just see “Zeppelin wannabes.” Meanwhile, I love their music.

I definitely am going to keep an eye on them over time to see how they develop. At the very least, it’s nice to hear another actual band actually playing actual music coming strong on the scene.

I’ve only listened to it once, but I think it’s pretty good. I have high hopes for the album.

possibly, I’ ve been listening to them alot . From the Fires is my favorite album lately, replacing one from Wolfmother.
